Name: Kristin McCoppin
Business Name: Pond Photography
Email Address: kristin@pond-photography.com
Website: www.pond-photography.com

Where are you located?: Mission, Kansas

What type of
photography do you shoot? How long have you been in business?:
Weddings,
engagement, some family and kids. Been shooting for 3 years.

When
did you first join the Kraft & Jute family?:

Last year. I ordered
folders to fit my brand and they are given to every client in their
Welcome Packet.

What do your clients say when they see your Kraft & Jute
Packaging?:

They love the branding and the
folders. It helps them keep organized with all their wedding planning
and they think the packaging is super cute and creative.

Name your favorite Kraft & Jute Packaging product that you can’t live without.: Folders

Best
advice that you’ve been given in your photography career?:
You can’t
compare you self to other photographers because it will just bring you
down and you have to do what works for you and what works to make your
clients happy.

What is your most used Photoshop (or Lightroom) tool, plug-in, or
action set etc.?:

I love my ProRetouch 2.0 by Totally Rad. I love their
actions to use to soften brides faces, enhance their eyes and get rid of
any blemishes. It all looks so natural too, which I love.

If you and your camera were invisible for one day, what would you
shoot?:
My style is very soft and romantic and I would love to do
something opposite. I think it would be awesome to shoot a farmer or a
mechanic or someone that looks rough, someone who works with their hands
or has done physical labor their whole life. It would be so cool to use
dramatic lighting and shadows to show their life’s work though their
face.

We want the good stuff here, so don’t hold back. Tell us a story of
something funny, embarrassing or suspenseful that happened during a
shoot.:
Just bought the 5D Mark III and a brand new Canon 24mm 1.4 lens.
I am waiting for the bride and groom to come out of the church and I am
standing in the middle of 200 people waiting for them. As we are
waiting I drop my entire camera, and it goes skidding across the
sidewalk in front of all these people. Everyone just gasps and all eyes
are on me. Luckily it landed in a way that nothing was damaged, just a
little scuffed. Talk about a heart attack!

Ever split your pants or get injured all in efforts to capture that
special shot?:

I have not split my pants but I have fallen and tripped
to get shots, because I get so into shooting that I don’t realize what I
am standing on or near.

If you were in a public area and everyone was skipping instead of walking, would you join the fun?: Totally!

What is your current state of mind after completing this survey?:
Happy and playful!
