During all of 2014, we are partnering with photographer Sarah Petty and her team at Joy of Marketing. We are really stoked to be collaborating with them, because they offer photographers – like you – the marketing education, resources, and support you need to manage a revenue-generating business doing what you love: taking pictures!
They believe in you, and so do we.
In fact, Joy of Marketing believes you’re worth every penny, hence their newest book about how to price your photography and charge what you’re worth. Sarah Petty and Erin Verbeck persuade you to build brand loyalty through relationship-based sales skills and high-touch customer experiences, while using a pricing strategy that attracts the right clients for your business, instead of discounting to attract new photographer-seekers.
Sharing a blog chocked full of business savvy advice, a newsletter, and multiple events throughout the year, the team at Joy of Marketing really has your back. They’re gearing up for a new FREE online video event scheduled for June 23, to address how you can enjoy stress-free, guilt-free, sweat-free selling without being too pushy. You can register for that event, and be sure to stay tuned for other events they’re planning to help you manage your business.
Building a solid brand is hard work. We appreciate all of the things you need to juggle in your photography business to be remarkable at what you do – from recruiting business, to photography and editing, to client relations, to balancing the books, etc., etc., etc. There’s a lot on your to-do list.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t miss some encouraging words by our co-creator and fellow photographer, Jessica Lewis, as she offers some words of advice to new photographers.
At Kraft & Jute, we strive to make one piece of your brand a little easier: your photo packaging! From your first client meeting to when you’re sending your clients a thank you gift, your packaging should be consistent and reinforce your brand image, but most of all it should connect with your customers and create a memorable experience. When you present your product offerings at the sales meeting to when you unveil your photos after the shoot, always do it in style. By giving clients a tangible, branded packaging piece, you deliver a reminder they can cherish or re-use to keep your business top-of-mind.
