Name/Business Name: Jordan Brannock / Jordan Brannock Photography
What type of photography do you shoot? How long have you been in business?: I shoot all kinds of photography including university work, but mostly weddings & families. I’m really starting to focus on lifestyle work. I’ve been doing this for about ten years but decided to 100% go out on my own on about 3 years ago.
Where are you located?: Mount Airy, NC
When did you first join the Kraft & Jute family?: I’ve been a fan & customer since I opened my office/studio space in 2012. 🙂
Name your favorite Kraft & Jute packaging product that you can’t live without.: I very much love my cd sleeves and custom thank you cards. The natural, earthy, simple feel to every product I’ve ordered completely compliments my style.
Best advice that you’ve ever been given in your photography career?: A photography teacher once told me to always tell the truth. Honesty and sincerity will forever outweigh props & gimmicks. Its important to stay true to your art. Images should still be as beautiful and classic now as they will be in 50 years for your children & grand children. I have tried to stay true to that.
If you and your camera were invisible for one day, what would you shoot?: Lots & lots of puppies!
Tell us a story of something funny, embarrassing, or suspenseful that happened during a shoot.: I completely fell on the dance floor at a wedding reception. A very inebriated bridesmaid spilled her wine during the “Wobble.” Whoopsy! Thankfully my cameras were totally fine, but my pride was definitely bruised. 🙂
Ever split your pants or get injured all in effort to capture that special shot?: I ripped holes in BOTH of my knees while photographing a ceremony a couple of years ago. The shots were worth it though. I can always get new pants–but those moments can never be recreated.
If you were in a public area and everyone was skipping instead of walking, would you join the fun?: Like most photographers–I’m a people watcher. So, I’d probably sit back with some ice cream and enjoy the show!
